WordPress is the topic of this page.
It will hold typical WordPress topics in subpages, starting with Themes and Plugins.
I just realised I also need to include the post for this category here.
In stead of displaying all posts, it is much better to manually include the posts about WordPress with a short summary, in stead of an automated snippet.
The ammount of work though…
Sitemap and internal link manager is a post about how and why I inserted an HTML sitemap and fresh thoughts about internal linking. As a result, I include this link here, to manually create at least one first internal link referring to my post.
WordPress a blessing and a curse
So wide used. So much trust I had in WordPress as a Content Management System (CMS) that I trusted its internal linking.
Results that just using WP is not enough. Not anymore. Perhaps it was in 2009. Today each site requires certain finetuning.
Especially older sites, duch as this one, are fun. We had the odd http link, sections referring to www. all that olf fashioned references.
Now the most recent WordPress posts are about soling the internal structute of the site, older post may contain more random site tips.
Some day, this will become a more detailled overview, but as of today, I give you the full list of post about making websites using the most used website builder:
The best CMS:
- 301 redirect and SEO mistake every WordPress website owner must know
- How bad is my organic traffic?
- Further pruning
- Directory Tree Graph
- Further reduced my tags to 125 now
- Optimising my website for what exactly?
- A Fast WordPress Theme Leads To More Sales
- How I totally missed out on Woocommerce
- Woocommerce for WordPress
- What is wrong with my site?
- Managing Multilingual Content
- Categorized first posts in new structure
- How to install a SSL certificate to upgrade you WordPress site to https?
…and even further down to zero…
While I am adding this urls and buildign out this page I can not stop to wander… Do I think I can have any change to rank fro WordPress with soo many websites about it already? Actually yes. Because I a not writing about the standard how to things (next link: How to use Timestamp in WordPress, forgive me, this was a while ago). Now I remember, some content was written as intructional for my team.
I write about specific problems I personally find interesting, especially if the problem is persistent and due to inconsistancies. I think these are worth mentioning and need to be discussed untill solved.
That. Is my contribution to the WordPress community. I have no intention to help people with WordPress as a freelancer or as an Agency Service. This is me giving back by sharing my learnings.
